La curvatura de los rayos de luz en las cercanías de cuerpos masivos: Una exposición para alumnos de cursos introductorios de Física
In this work, mainly for teachers of introductory physics undergraduate, elementary derivation of a formula is presented for calculating the curvature of the light rays in the vicinity of massive bodies. This formula is obtained using the equivalence principle and the Newton´s law of universal gravitation, and then applied to the case of the Sun and these results with those obtained by Albert Einstein are compared, noting that the figure is equal to that calculated by the German physicist in 1911, but that is half of the corrected by Einstein himself in 1915. Causes of these discrepancies are put into context and briefly analyzed. Finally, educational screenings of this work are discussed, and some general suggestions are made to address the issue in introductory undergraduate physics courses.
